Second annual West London Jobs and Apprenticeships Fair will bring hundreds more vacancies for local people
Are you:
- looking for work?
- looking for a part time job?
- wanting to change jobs?
- looking to return to work?
- interested in undertaking training or an apprenticeship?
- wanting to develop your skills through volunteering?
- looking for work experience?
Mary is organising a Jobs and Apprenticeships Fair in partnership with West Thames College, Jobcentre Plus, The Hounslow Chronicle and Heathrow. The Fair is also being supported by Hounslow Chamber of Commerce, who will be conducting a seminar on how to start a business.
The Fair will take place on Thursday 11th April 2013 from 10am-3pm at West Thames College in Isleworth.
There will be workshops on how to improve your CV, seminars on interview technique, the job-finding process and how to start a successful business. There will also be information on how to get the most out of an apprenticeship, along with many employers all with current vacancies at different levels, from entry-level positions, through to graduate vacancies and more. Voluntary organisations will also be attending the Fair, providing information about volunteering opportunities in the local area.
Mary said: “I’m very proud to be able to announce our second Jobs Fair event today. We are lucky in West London to have so many great businesses looking to employ locally, which has kept our unemployment amongst the lowest in London.”
“That being said, I want to do everything I can to reach anyone in my constituency who is looking for work, work experience or a volunteering position. The Jobs Fair event is a fantastic opportunity for west-Londoners and I would urge everyone looking for employment opportunities to drop-in on the day”
Last year’s inaugural event was a great success. On the day, over 1,500 jobs were available and well over 1,000 people came along. This year, the Fair will be bigger and better.
If you are an employer or organisation with vacancies and interested in participating, please do contact Mary by email on [email protected] to arrange for a stand at the Fair.
