Making it easier for what residents need, council set to unveil new user-friendly website
Hounslow Council is set to unveil its new-look website, which will give residents a much more personalised experience, with greater interactivity geared towards what customers want.
The council is working in partnership with web platform provider Jadu to deliver the new website early next year, allowing residents to interact with the council 24/7, more easily and conveniently.
With a huge increase in people trying to access services from a range of devices, the new site will be tailored to allow visitors to access and view information on any mobile or tablet format at any time, at any location.
Councillor Ed Mayne, Cabinet Member for Corporate Performance and Customer Care, Hounslow Council, said: “We’re blogging about these exciting digital changes so our residents can read all about it and how it will benefit them.
“There are also going to be several opportunities to give us feedback and leave comments on this blog, so you can tell us what you think of the new look website.
“With over 250,000 residents in the borough, our council serves a diverse population, so our new website needs to provide a robust platform that will be the heart of how we interact with our residents who are our customers.
“There will be lots of exciting developments coming up, so do keep checking the blog to see what’s happening as we continue to make changes and improvements to the new website to make it work better for all.”
Over the next few months, the council will launch one of the first services in the new format, the “my account” feature, which will give residents a ‘personalised’ view of council services based on their own preferences and frequent uses.
