Local MP Mary Macleod joined Singapore Airlines, the world’s most awarded airline, with customers and guests on Friday 2nd November to celebrate the launch of its long-awaited fourth daily service from London Heathrow to Singapore.
The event was also attended by Colin Matthews, Chief Executive Officer, Heathrow Airport Holdings Ltd, Stephen Quick, Deputy Singapore High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, Paul Tan, Regional Vice President Europe, Singapore Airlines and Phee Teik Yeoh, General Manager UK & Ireland Singapore Airlines.
Mary Macleod, MP for Brentford, Chiswick, Isleworth, Osterley and Hounslow, commented: “I'm delighted that Singapore Airlines has now launched a fourth daily service from London Heathrow as it provides an additional boost to jobs and businesses in the local area. Growth is always something to be welcomed and we value the local commitment and stronger ties that the launch of this new flight provides. I have also been impressed with Singapore Airlines upgrading three of their four plains from Heathrow to Airbus A380s as their solution to increasing capacity.”
