Small Business Saturday is coming to Chiswick for the first time on the 7th December and to celebrate there is an iPad up for grabs as well as many other top prizes in the Small Business Saturday Treasure Hunt.
Small Business Saturday is an initiative first started in the U.S. to encourage people to support their local small, independent businesses at this time of year. It has the backing of the Prime Minister and all parties and local MP Mary Macleod has a busy day planned locally in her role as Small Business Ambassador for London.
Mary has teamed up with local businesses to organise the Small Business Saturday Treasure Hunt around Chiswick to encourage local families and residents to explore some of small shops and businesses they may not even have noticed before.
Mary commented: “I am delighted to be supporting Small Business Saturday this year. Chiswick has so many small independent shops and businesses with many fabulous gifts and unique products on offer. While you do your Christmas shopping this year, why not visit some more, have some fun and maybe even win an iPad or other top prize at the same time?!”
The Small Business Saturday Treasure Hunt has been developed with families in mind, but with prizes including the iPad, £100 voucher for Marmalade, a family photoshoot at Snappy Snaps, a cut and finish in Tops hairdresser, a £30 box of chocolates from Theobroma Cacao and vouchers from the Beauty Lounge, Damsel, Frivoli, Pot Pourri and others there is sure to be something for everyone. Snap Dragon is also giving a free mini Lego figure to all children taking part in the Treasure Hunt.
Mary added: “I am particularly thankful to Barclays for donating the iPad for the Treasure Hunt and for all the other businesses that have been so generous in offering prizes and taking part on the day.”
