There is still time for residents of Chiswick to get their applications in for the Carillion Community Chest Fund 2016, with the deadline for applications at noon on Wednesday 30th March
Applications for funding are sought from individuals and/or volunteer groups who wish for additional support and help from Carillion for outside events in one of Hounslow’s open spaces or parks.
The maximum amount awarded to any one project is up to £1000 and proposed events can range from outdoor festivals and/or parties to one off artistic, sporting or entertainment events that aim to promote community cohesion and usage of our Parks and Green open spaces.
Commenting on the proposal, Vice Chair of Chiswick Area Forum and the Chiswick Community Champion Councillor Gerald McGregor said,
“This is a fantastic initiative by Carillion and to be welcomed by all sections of the community. Additional support funding provided by our contractor for our parks and open spaces, will make any idea and/or event realised to its fullest potential when Hounslow Labour Councillors are withdrawing small grant funding to local communities.”
Councillor McGregor encouraged those still wanting to apply to either visit Carillion’s website: www.hounslow.infoand click on “Parks and Open Spaces” to download an application form or contact him direct: [email protected]or 07866 784 821
