Next week’s West London Jobs and Apprenticeships fair will see the attendance of over thirty major businesses, hoping to fill hundreds of vacancies and placements. The event, organised by local MP Mary Macleod and in partnership with Jobcentre Plus and BAA, will take place on Friday 30th March at West Thames College in Isleworth.
Mary commented, “I am delighted that so many major businesses have confirmed that they will be taking part and bringing with them job opportunities for local people. The purpose of the day is to help people secure the job or apprenticeship that is right for them. The enthusiastic response from businesses already makes me confident that this event will be a tremendous success for job seekers.”
The West London Jobs and Apprenticeship Fair has already received backing from a host of major employers including Virgin Media, Barclays and G4S, who have been tasked with providing over 40,000 security staff for the London 2012 Games. Mary added, “The Jobs Fair will provide real work and training opportunities on the day. I am urging anyone who is looking for work or anyone who is perhaps looking for a new role, to attend on Friday 30th and take advantage of this opportunity.”
There will also be a range of training seminars and workshops, including a CV workshop, hosted by Barclays.
