Councillors Felicity Barwood, Sam Hearn and Paul Lynch hosted a Drinks Reception with special guest speaker the Rt Hon Greg Barker MP, Minister of State for Energy and Climate Change.
The Reception, held at The River House in Chiswick had 30 guests in attendance, including the support of Local MP Mary Macleod.
Rt Hon Greg Barker MP, was elected Conservative MP for Bexhill and Battle in his native Sussex in 2001 and served on the House of Commons Environment Audit select committee from 2001-2005 and David Cameron’s Shadow Environment Minister in 2005. After the General Election May 2010, the Prime Minister appointed Greg as the Minister of State at the Department of Energy and Climate Change. His responsibilities include: the Green Investment bank, the Green Deal, reform of Feed-in Tariffs for small scale electricity energy efficiency, Renewable Heat and International Climate negotiations.
